Getting started
What is AQChess and who is it for?
AQChess is an all-in-one chess platform where you can learn, teach, create content, analyze games, and play. It’s designed for students/learners, teachers/coaches, and chess fans who want tools and structured learning.
Do I need an account to use AQChess?
You can browse many public pages and resources without an account. To save progress, enroll in courses, join classrooms, or manage your own content, you’ll typically want to sign up and log in.
Is AQChess free to use?
AQChess offers free access to core features (like exploring games and using tools). Some courses or premium content created by coaches may be paid. If you see pricing on a course page, that price applies to that course.
Games and analysis tools
Can I import my games from Lichess?
Yes. You can import games directly from Lichess, then review them on AQChess to analyze key moments, mistakes, and ideas.
What tools are available for study and preparation?
AQChess includes tools like an Analysis Board, Opening Explorer, Setup Position, puzzles and puzzle themes, opening practice,
and playing vs. computer—so you can prepare openings and train tactics in one place.
Can I turn my games into puzzles?
Yes. After importing/analyzing a game, you can create custom puzzles based on critical positions to reinforce learning and patterns.
What is “PGN to PDF” used for?
It helps you export PGN games into a clean PDF format—useful for printing, sharing with students, or keeping a study binder.
Courses and classrooms
I’m a coach—can I create and sell my own courses?
Yes. Coaches can create structured courses and sell them. You can also assign lessons or puzzles to students and track progress.
How do classrooms work?
Classrooms are designed for teacher–student learning. Teachers can organize students, assign content, and monitor learning progress in one place.
Can students create their own study content too?
Yes. Students can enroll in courses and also create their own collections—games, notes, positions, and practice material.
